Today the first trailer has arrived for the film based on real-life Mexican folklore of a mother who drowned her two young sons in a fit of rage over her adulterous husband and is cursed to roam the Earth looking for other children to snatch away and call her own. Though not officially a “Conjuring” spin-off film, the James Wan-produced “The Curse of La Llorona” certainly contains many of the hallmarks of one with Michael Chaves making his feature directorial debut on this ahead of plans to have him helm and Wan produce an official third “Conjuring” film.
